All hype, no substance. Anyone who really knows what they're talking about knows that AGI will not happen in our lifetime. If there is societal or civilizational collapse, then WE will have precipitated it through our malaise and apathy; not the half-assed "AI" that everyone keeps yammering on about. Don't want AI to mess your life up, then stop using it. It's not as revelatory or as efficient as these tech nerds will have you believe.
