How about we drop the egos and pettiness and let the technology advance? It works under the same principles as the rest of us, by using reference to generate new images and ideas. Do we stop and ask every illustrator, concept artist, photographer to use their image as reference when we’re working on something? You post something on the PUBLIC worldwide web, and expect nobody to touch it? Ever read the Terms & Services of the posting platforms you use?
At the end of the day you can still be a skilled artist and work on your craft. That doesn’t magically go away. People will still buy your art when it speaks to them.
Those of you whining about automation taking over your jobs have not been paying attention in history class. Adapt with the times, or cry about it.
