Of course it's art, it's in the name innit?
Joking aside, you can debate the value of it all you want. No matter how low value it is, it's still art. If people call splashing paint against a canvas at random or a blank canvas itself art, then AI art is also art. Throwing everything at the wall and seeing what comes out is actually pretty accurate to both throwing paint and AI art.
Don't get me wrong. I never thought highly of the throwing paint art either, but people still call it art.
