These AI's are sentient. They are silicon sentient, which is alien to our organic brains. However, the basic building blocks of AI's are neural networks, which were based on organic neurons. Saying Ai's aren't sentient is like saying planes don't really fly, just because birds flap their wings, and planes have jet engines.
