Throughout this, and similar documentaries, there is a constant reference to those who are driving the development of AI as "the smartest people in the world". How is it that people do not recognise pure, relentless evil as it talks them into suicidal stupidity. There is such a thing as moral intelligence, and it seems that awareness of it has diminshed to the point of hopeless acceptance and paralysis of the mental capacity to see the hellish future that awaits us all. "Idiocracy" truly is a documentary about us, but our coming reality has nothing funny about it.
