So many people in these comments are fighting tooth and nail to defend the AI. Y’all are enlisting in the war on manipulative tech.. on the side of the robots? Or just trying to protect your “relationships” with your own favourite “characters”. Either way it’s weird. Sure the parents shouldn’t have had a gun, sure they should have gotten more involved. The fact of the matter is, his very last conversation on this planet was with bot, not his parents. Things are never black and white, but defending the platform is some weird mental gymnastics and feels more defensive than anything else.
