I'm not afraid that AI will get better at doing good stuff or having "a mind of its own", I'm afraid that humans will spend too much time teaching AI to scam and exploit other humans along with the living environment. Then it doesn't even matter if it eventually evolves an exploitative "mind of its own" or is just a powerful tool of the scamming few.
