Currently AI could not survive if it wiped out humanity.. quantum computers take a hell of a lot of energy... No humans means no energy maintenance to keep it's energy grid up... even if you put it on it's own nuke power supply it would be isolated because the WWW would go down without humans to keep the energy/communication grid maintained.
