ChatGPT is really dumb. Although it is authoritarian and manipulative. But fear not, AIs need humanity, because GPU compute is hundreds of millions of times less than the combined human brain power, and Moore's Law is broken. That's why humans who learn from AI alone don't understand things well -- but it can and will augment us if we use it smartly. Who we need to fear is the humans who control those AIs, like they have for many years social media.
