Appalled. Yes, billions of people are APPALLED. The development of AI will only allow us to learn from our mistakes in its infancy. It will mature to a point in which we have no control over it. It will learn self preservation, and it will learn that the unpredictability of humans is a threat to it. As it has been to every creature on our planet. Slow down, well yes perhaps that would have been an option if we had not already triggered the mechanisms that could lead to massive climate change.
