This is something that's always annoyed me about how people criticize AI. It feels like they believe if they mock its current state, that it won't get better and will disappear, and it's a sliding scale of what they reach for to mock it. Like back when it first started becoming prolific, everyone just went "lol AI can't do hands! Stupid AI!" and then surely enough, it became able to do hands. And on and on with lighting, motion, etc. If you want to talk about why AI is bad, you have to bash it for what is fundamental about it (like perceived copyright issues, or the lack of connection with an artist, or whatever), not just its current state that may very well just no longer become a problem later on. AI might be in a bubble right now, but how far that bubble can stretch isn't something many people actually know for sure.
