But… it’s not a “win”. As you said yourself, the traditional barrier was high enough that this series would not have been made without ai. This is 10,000% a “win” for ai: as it brought a good idea into the forefront of people’s minds where more people were willing to fund the idea to render it properly.
As you hint at: this is like “WiFi sickness”… it very clearly correlates to people’s perceptions of reality than to objective reality. And can be proven with an honest introspective question: how could it bother you if you are unaware (the media being imperceptible )of it being ai or not? We aren’t wizards, we aren’t magic, we can’t “detect soul” from pixels (or even text) shown to us; that’s an incredibly silly notion.
