I'm doubtful about the jobs as identity thing as I just quit my trucking job. I can't stand it anymore.
Interesting comment at the end about being satified with Chicken Nuggets versus Home Cooking. Nuggets are not A.I. ( yet ) but is a form of Slop. The Slop existed before A.I. and maybe systemic problems encouraging that is the real problem. Perhaps even along with pushing human 3D artists to model stupid garbage. You have been nudged into making 3D Slop, not by choice, but trying to making money, which is understandable. Similar forces probably nudge many to try making A.I. content for clicks like the Pug video.
I think A.I. can make quality content, especially if directed by a trained Human Artist and not a noob ( or corporate jackass ). I loosely compare it to being a Director rather than an Artist, which in the case of A.I., is leading a virtual art studio crew doing your bidding.
