In my opinion, there will still be MANY jobs. People forget that money is the bottom line and AI dependent machines are going to be expensive to run and maintain, which means most average businesses will not be able to afford it. Examples of jobs that will be difficult for AI to replace, partially or totally; The trades, construction, engineers, most types of repair, hospitality, food preparation, groundskeeping, most healthcare professions, social work, caregiving, leadership positions, childcare, emergency responders like firefighters, EMS and police, many types of arts, funeral directors, museum curators, archaeologists, geologists, glass blowers, journalists, quality assurance, sign language interpreters, sports players, tattoo artists, massage therapists, commercial fishermen... The list goes on. Sure, a lot of people in these professions can use AI as an aid, but it could never replace the human touch and nuance required to do most of these jobs, and even if it could, most companies simply would not be able to afford to implement it. My local hospital literally just bought a new MRI machine after 20 years, how will your average construction company afford a $300k+ AI 3D house printer? Anyway, don't give into the panic, just adapt and shift your interests and expectations and start gearing young people toward jobs where they will be less disposable.
