I'm really surprised that all those stories about AI taking command never mention one crucial problem: energy resources. Many engineers around the world dream of fusion energy, but they are still very far from reaching that goal. A world like the one depicted in this video would require huge amounts of energy — far more than what we can produce today.
Maybe AI's first task would be to finally enable humanity to produce fusion energy — and to do it safely. Otherwise, this AI-driven world will inevitably fail, simply due to a lack of electricity!
