AI images will most definately hang in museums, if they don't somewhere already. All kinds of interactivity have already been incorporated into most museums, which people appreciate. The challenge for AI would be the plastic element of painting, you'd need a robot hand to mimic the brushstrokes, the mix of pigment with oil and things like this
