The questions being asked aren't addressing the most proximal threat. Prior to AGI being achieved the question is can humanity trust the power that is represented by any stage of artificial intelligence in human hands. Restricting AI to only act in the best interests of humans begs to ask which humans? History doesn't portend well for the answer.
