I am a lifetime technologist, and I am all for the progress of technology, including AI. That said, there is NO excuse to ignore the moral and ethical issues surrounding that progress. Technology is meant to serve ALL of us, not to profit the tiny few who are little more than leeches and vampires on the rest of society that actually makes the very things they are attempting to suck the life blood out of. As is usual, it's not the technology that is the problem, it is the assholes using it to hurt others without care or concern.
I, for one, will NEVER condone or pay money for any kind of AI art or music generated on the unwilling backs of real artists and creators, and those that try can join the rest of the corporatist riffraff on my permanent boycott list.
