I used to do graphic design on movies and got paid roughly $1500 a week for it. Great pay rate especially since I technically wasn’t even a senior level one who could make up to double that rate. Now I look up graphic design jobs on job websites and they’re virtually all paying just as much if not lower than a freaking bartending job is. Part of this may just be there being too much competition out there, but I’m almost certain AI has been making the unique skills of a graphic designer increasingly more irrelevant and therefore less monetarily compensating. I dunno, correct me if I’m wrong here.
