You know what I find really interesting? If humans are just a bunch of atoms acting by the laws of physics (determinism), with no soul, can't we replicate the phenomenon with AI? Isn't DNA just a biological programming language after all? And if you believe humans are greater than the sum of their parts, that something new emerges from our individual cells, can't AI do the same? Are humans some sort of a divine, protected creations that are not to be imitated?
Realistically speaking, in order to even get near the wisdom and elasticity of the human brain would be miraculous. That's what makes us able to invent AI and then discuss deeply of the effects it has on our daily lives and society. Can AI become nearly as versatile and curious as humankind? We both have our hardcoded limits, and that's fine.
