Had an new engineer give me a G-code program for a 5 axis mill. My colleague and I usually write all the programs, and we've been doing it a while. What would look like Greek to some people we can actually read, somewhat. After a look see, "his" program was calling for a lot of mode changes and movements that didn't make sense. So I load it up in MasterCam and start tearing it apart. At that time he starts arguing with us to just run it (laterally 2 ranks higher than us but not in my report chain). Refused, because go pound sand. Turns out it would have wrecked the machine and quite possibly milled into the Trunion if one of the passes didn't break the cutting tool. Turns out he asked ChatGPT to write the program (IT found that out). Summarily fired a week later.
