When you look at this scenario and take it to its fullest, dystopian conclusion, it is horrifying.
It would be and handful of oligarchs controlling a vast army of bots. But, to what end? I know that 10,000 elites could live well under this scenario whilst the masses starve or live in abject poverty. But, the still vast resources of our planet would serve no purpose, generate no wealth.
10,000 oligarchs do not need millions of barrels of oil daily or 1,000 tons of grain to feed themselves. They could create an AI-fueled economy with a UBI as its foundation. This would make them even more wealthy in the long run.
