An artist once said to me that, as part of their art degree, they drew life drawings of objects placed on top of the same chair thousands and thousands of times. Through this process, they came to hate that chair that they were forced to draw thousands of times over and over again.
This emotion comes through in their works. You can see they hate this chair. This elevates the art, it becomes more as a result of the fact a HUMAN is expressing themselves.
Art tells a story about the artist.
AI will never create art that tells a story about the artist because the AI is a soulless entity without experiences. It will only ever be producing slop. The AI can not "express itself" if there is no expression, there is no art.
You can create CONTENT. But that does not make it art.
