I'm gonna kind of give a flip comment, truly there are some people that no matter how much they try to draw, somehow they can't create what they want, part of it might come from a mental condition that blocks them from being able to translate the art in their head to their hands, and on the flip side, there are people, who born with a severe physical disability are physically unable to put pen to paper or brush to canvas, if you're a quadriplegic but your brain has the talent it's very difficult to just take out paper and draw and unfortunately not all quadriplegic people have a brain computer interface implanted in their brain to move a robot arm to draw or paint, or to move a cursor on the screen to draw with a paint app so they might try AI to bring what's in their mind out to the world, really the fundamental thing wrong with AI art is the fact that the AI companies don't pay the artists whose art is in the AI's dataset, and honestly they actually could pay the artists, at least a small percentage, of the money they make, the artists are actually listed with the art in the dataset, if they did pay the artists whose art they use to make money, then AI wouldn't be bad for the artists, it would become a tool for artists as a way to help make a living by their art being used in the dataset, at least the AI company wouldn't be straight up stealing the art, I did hear that there was an AI art company made by artists that provide their art to the dataset and they make a share from the profits aside from the AI operating costs, and this is how it should be, artists getting paid for their art being used to make generated works, that's what we need to strive for, a positive outcome for both the AI companies and the artists whose art they use. It's the only way the AI art companies won't be plagiarizing the work of artists.
