I think the problem with wage insurance is that it still assumes that there will be jobs available on the other side. The reason for the insane AI company valuations based on zero profit currently is that the future promise is to replace human labor with this technology. The valuations assume that human labor will be replaced, otherwise you can’t justify said valuation.
