On one hand, I strongly believe that anything we do will just be a temporary patch; eventually the only humans left will be maintained by AI for historical and conservation purposes, like we have natural reserves or zoos.
On the other hand, I'm convinced this is still several decades away. If I was a teen today, this other hand wouldn't offer much serenity.
