The term democracy is misleading. Is it democratic if my education/knowledge of a subject is actually limited?
AI is always promoted as everyone will access ALL the knowledge of the world, but actually it will always be like trying to look from a peephole. What is actually accessible will be VERY easily controlled.
Also it isn't about sharing everything. We don't need the AI to share information. AI is pushed to manipulate and change information in real time, changing people perception.
We will not be able what is actually worthy/true and what is trash, because we will have less access to the sources, the "investigation" or "filter" will not be done by our brain, but by the machine.
Also the first statement is also wrong. Our reality is perception. If you think something is powerful you give it your power and submit to it. It is just a tool. And if we talk of democracy, all humanity should be free to decide how it should be managed. At the moment many are just accepting an AI doomsday.
