I live in Spain 🇪🇸. Our prime minister, Pedro Sánchez, has been flirting with tech bros eyeing up Spain's large investment in renewable energy that offer relatively low electricity prices that could feed their AI computer warehouses. We made those investments so that we'd have cheap, clean energy for our citizens and businesses. We absolutely did not build that renewable energy infrastructure so that massive foreign companies could come in and use *ALL* that renewable energy leaving Spaniards with expensive, dirty electricity, turning the clock back twenty years.
