Sorry but I do not think that this the best take on the topic. This is a very perplexing situation that leaves a lot to be considered. I do not think that it is as open and shut as you try to paint it. This method of art creation going forward is very likely to lend to some of the best art humanity has seen yet. I wouldn't want to disincentivize people from trying to create truly awe inspiring works in the future by denying them any possible path for profit from it. Even still there is still more to this that makes this even less straight forward such as whether or not the company behind the AI should be entitled to profit from his work.
Lets say that a person came up with their own novel AI software that they coded up themselves in order to make art for them. In this case I feel that it should be straight forward that the person who made the AI and created the prompt should be able to own that art.
