It would be useful for some additional context information. I haven't driven an electric vehicle nor specifically a Tesla, so I don't know how the steering operates. Can FSD steer the car without the steering wheel turning? Is it drive-by-wire or is it a mechanical linkage? If you hit a rough section of road, would you feel the steering wheel feedback and have to fight it? Do we know just what that torque is measuring? Is it external torque, or does FSD also apply torque to the steering wheel to effect self driving steering? I must admit, either way, whatever caused the disengagement, it does seem scary that it can be so sudden and catastrophic. Even if it was a knee knocking the steering wheel when going over a bump, if that's enough to disengage FSD like that, then that is a problem with FSD!
