Humans would rather outsource the cognitive work it takes to learn and retain information. Why? So there's more time to scroll through TikTok videos? Teachers need more time to do teacher things like reading and evaluating student essays. As an educator, I don't need AI to grade for me. I need the powers that be to understand that being a human teacher takes time. It takes time to grade papers, time to answer questions from multiple students...
What educators truly need are less meetings and duties that take up our TIME.

AI is already leading to the elimination of some jobs. Where are PEOPLE supposed to work?! Even a UBI would be a paltry income substitute for the number of people who'd be out of a job.
