I think I get the fundamental change AI and robotics makes to the capitalist system of production and consumption when you remove human agency in all but consumption. I ask myself who will own AI and the Utilities to power it and who owns the material resources that AI will use to provide what we need in life ? Will any entity that owns the means of production want to provide anything if there is no economic benefit from the consumer ? My Guess is that the means of production and resources will be owned by a government that we elect on the basis of how they are going to govern us and provide us with what we need and maybe want. Looks to me like China has a system more adaptable to the AI/Robotic Changes we are seeing.
