Cosplayer and props maker here. I sketch plans and technical blueprints and small détails for my projects every time before I hit the Workshop. I’ve been doing this for years, yet, when I draw people, animals or scenes, it’s absolutly shitty. I can’t draw people. Why ? Because that is not what I practiced. That is not what I wanted to draw, it frustrated me and I prefered to work with illustrators instead. That’s it. There is no blue blood, no magical gift, I simple did not commited to that grind. Instead I’ve grinded as a foam smith, I’ve dealt in metal, woodwork, paint, molds and sculpture. Some people truely have a talent, but if they don’t commit, they get outmatched by hard work. The true Genius are the talented who put the hard work in their career, and they are immensly rare. Just pick up your tools, and do something you enjoy. Ai is a tool. But if you’re never studied and practiced anatomy, colour theory, scene composition, dynamism or just your curiosity, it will always end up underperform under your hopes and goals.
