I'm not sure... I think we will hit a ceiling in AI 'intelligence' before it gets to levels that cause these sort of issues. After a transition period jobs will change, but I don't think they will be gone to a point where a universal basic income is required. In my opinion the scariest thing about AI is the humans using it without fact checking, then regurgitating that false information as fact. AI automation is far more challenging to implement than it seems, it can't yet be trusted to operate without close human guidance.
