I like the idea of poisoning the Art, as well as the idea of tar pits. But I do feel that those should be set with tags such as "not AI-trainable" .. or more of.. "I do not get give permission for AI to be trained on this". Which is why I like the tar pits so much. "oh this site has robot.txt but we're going to ignore it." .. aight well, get sucked into useless data then.
Like.. follow / respect the actual people, right?
Also, question for you lavender... in reference to the "we can't find the artist", would meta data in the output make the pill any easier to swallow?
