I think there are actual good use cases for AI in academia, like for checking potentially problematic images, or checking for grammatical errors but using it to generate fresh contents like essays or art is just plain wrong. Especially because you have no idea where the AI sources its data and you may not be able to spot all the misinformation in an essay or mistakes in a picture
