I personnaly hate when people argue that ai art is their art, and i definitely understand 99% of the time when the artist community criticizes ai generated images and the use of it.
However, I don't believe we have to boycot it completely. There are uses of it that aren't damaging and just save time and effort. For example, I recently started a new dnd campaign, and using AI to genereate illustrations of my character is just a very convinient way to have those illustrations.
Now that being said, I would highly discourage promoting ai generated images as art or posting them as such online. To me, AI generation (not just images) is a tool that should only be there to help in everyday life, for finding recipes with what's left in the fridge, having an illustration of your dnd character when you don't know how to draw, that kind of stuff.
