The fault lies with the governments. Companies will take advantage and lie and more if not regulated. No government anywhere that I am aware of has stepped up with testing requirements or minimum programming requirements nothing. Yes Tesla lied about it but Tesla is a corporation and corporations will try to get away with anything in order to make money and value period. This is not news. So sure be mad at Tesla CEO for this but you really should be mad at your governments for letting this happen, they have had years and years to get ready for this and did nothing. Same for AI, governments are doing nothing to protect people from this new threat. No basic rules or safety protocols nothing. No planningI on how to help people live when they are displaced by technology. You need to move your anger away from the companies and focus it to your governments and demand and expect them to stand up and protect you with at least some basic rules and regulations. Dear god what else is a government good for besides that.
