Let me tell you this: you know when we were in high school, and when we were bullied, we were told to ignore it, and forget it? That’s because, by feeding the bullying, the harassment or the attacks, you make everything worse. When you add fuel to the fire, the fire increases, not extinguished. Same with this. You see something inappropriate about your likeness, ignore it, and pretend you never saw it. By making a statement, online (and I don’t know if this will happen to you, because the internet’s not predictable, and I’ll get more on that to you later), you run the risk of that communication, not having the effect you want (which is for it to stop). The internet’s unpredictable, because it’s infinite, hunting down every inappropriate use of your likeness, isn’t possible, because you’d have to consider TOR (the onion browser: or the dark web), too which puts you at risk for digital viruses, hacks, misuse of your name, and I can tell you wouldn’t survive down there. Here on social media, and the general internet, we’re at the top of the internet, it’s small and limited, but it gets infinitely bigger in the dark web. Even as someone who works with technology, and is very proficient, even if I have the most advanced government technology, and digital tools, I couldn’t survive, on my own, and protected (even with VPNs, encrypted, 30 digit passwords and usernames), because hackers and scammers are not easy to tick off, and can easily remove everything, your bank accounts, your home title, social security, your benefits, and your name, (yes, attackers can use your name and likeness, to make ridiculous purchases in your name, and in this case, use your likeness inappropriately. That’s why you don’t completely reveal yourself, like most of you have done. Plus examining the entire internet, in the way I see it, isn’t possible, physically and digitally.
