well if population decline accelerates the corporations will decide not to spend a fortune creating robots to produce stuff which wont have any buyers or consumers...........rapid population decline like a cascade is going to set in the next decade as the boomer generation dies out and financial and marital problems lead to record drop in new births and worse this is going to be among the so called highly technically skilled people which means the companies wont have engineers to hire to manage their complex automated systems........in reality their attempts to create a utopian orwellian society will only lead to the opposite with a complete breakdown of the current functioning system and total chaos similar to many doom and gloom futurist movies made in the 90's
