The problem here is Capitalism... Yes! the very same ideal that brought us the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and now this 4th Industrial Revolution is to blame and not the AI technology. If the primary goal of the markets is to maximize profits and cut expenses, then job growth will always suffer because human capital is considered as an expenditure in a capitalist driven economy.
The world needs to move away from the purist form of capitalism towards a more compassionate form of capitalism. I mean, jobs are being shed in tech and yet executives and shareholders are obscenely getting richer and tech companies are now trillion dollar behemoths.
I repeat, the problem here is not Artificial Intelligence as a technology but those that invest in that tech. Plain and simple!
