Raw LLM Responses

In my experience folks who aren't creative, will never understand what being creative is. I've talked to many who say "I wish I could draw like you" and that's clearly not what they want because they haven't put in the effort. These are people who'll sit and watch TV or movies for hours on end every day but won't even attempt to learn the things they claim they want to do. To non-creatives- this sounds egotistical. "You can draw, of course you're looking down on them" It's not a matter of looking down it's just a matter of- I wanted to draw, so I learned to draw. I didn't have the internet when starting, I didn't have a tablet or even a computer. I drew on printer paper with a bic pencil. I tried colored pencils, markers, smudge sticks, various inks. Eventually when I finally got the money for an art tablet? I struggled for ages trying to get good with it. I never got good with it because I was convinced a tablet display would be better. After a year of trying + school and other life things ( caregiving took up a lot) I realized I wasn't making any progress. So I went cold turkey on traditional and made progress with digital. I took out a loan to get my first tablet display. Today? You can get a tablet display that's VASTLY better than the one I had. It'll be larger, more color accurate, reliable, have better pressure sensitivity and activation force- AND IT WILL BE CHEAPER. It takes commitment to make art. It isn't ego it's just how life goes, you need to work at what you love to be good at it. Generating images? Isn't art, it's not creative and it's not you. You may think it's you via whatever coping mechanisms are built into the brain but, if you think asking software to generate an image is you making art? Then customizing your burger at McDonalds and bringing that home for dinner is something you made by that logic. Today art is the easiest it's ever been to learn. You can go on youtube and find countless videos on how to draw. Anatomy, painting, all these lessons that are 100% free. Don't fall for the AI trap For 12 years of my life I was caregiving for a family member in my house. I was up super late having to put them to bed over and over, clean up messes, help them do super basic things. It was hard on them for sure but it was also hard on the whole family. Art helped me through it and I'm honest to goodness writing some of my experiences into my comic. It'll be subtle and I hope doesn't take away from the fantasy being written but- art is created from your experiences and an AI isn't gonna do that. It can't. It doesn't matter what you type in, it isn't going to capture what you can draw from your heart.
