You, and the paper, lost me when they predicted AGI within a couple years. Not gonna happen. We dont even, conceptually, know how to get there. No matter how much better the current approach becomes, it wont become an AGI. And i highly doubt it will have PhD level competence in all fields within the next decade or so either. Improvements are massively slowing down. If AI wipes out humans, it's due to misinformation, disruption and other forms of implicit abuse.. certainly not because the AI takes over. At least not this half of the century.
