I don’t like the sentiments of doors shutting when it comes to ai art. The norm for mainstream at least for a time will become more or less ai generated it’s simply cheaper and good enough to advertise/entertain. That means the door of counter culture opening, how that’s going to form is yet to be seen in a world dominated by the internet though it’s going to have to be largely void of the internet and gate-kept as much as possible and a focus on creation that isnt so easily recreated. I think this has been a long time coming anyway even before ai image generation become a thing as frankly the market was already flooded with mediocrity.
