The people with the money will never stop looking for ways to cut costs. Replacing a good chunk of human workers has always been the end goal of the people investing in AI and I don't think they will ever get tired of throwing money at something like that. In that sense, I think AI is indeed kind of inevitable.
I don't say that to discourage people from fighting, much on the contrary. If nothing can stop it, then it must be regulated. The true artists must be asked for permission, must be financially rewarded and must be given credit.
The only way to push for something like that is with concise organization.
