I'm a designer/draftsman in the marine industry. Using mainly AutoCAD we design whole vessels, do designs and drawings for retrofit work on existing vessels, carry out engineering for almost anything marine related (offshore lifts, seafastening of cargo and equipment, mooring design etc.)
I find it hard to see AI replacing my job in the short to mid term as there's not much of a pattern/repetitiveness to what we do but I can see how AI could help me speed up some parts of my job.
