this reminds me of the story about Walter Reuther head of the UAW. he was taken to one of the early plants that was employing automated assembly lines. he was then told by management how great it was because the machines never went on vacation or strike. never took sick days. Reuther nodded and said "That's nice. how many cars do they buy?" how does destroying your customer base work for companies? please explain.
