Dude literally disregarded the entire conversation and ended the video with a short segment asking everyone watching to try out YouTube's new AI-driven algorithm for money, simply because he made some kind of agreement before. 😢
Maybe he views that as a bicycle, but directly following such a conversation in the current climate? Yeah it's neat and cool.. I still disagree with the decision two days later.
Karen Hao is someone that has seen first-hand that pride, comfort, and control are running the ship at each of these big-name startups. They're ruining lives.. potentially everyone's life, in the process.
I, for one, agree with her.
AI is not a bad tool.. AI used with a laissez-faire attitude -or with bad heart motives, lacking real calm and understanding...well, it's downright manipulative and reckless.
Ms. Hao is risking her livelihood in order to say something that is unpopular, yet definitive.
