Artist in university here: so back in highschool - before ai became "big" (think dall•e) - we had a whole seminar of the future of AI. And i remember hating the entire thing. When i was asked about it, i said it was basically like typing a question into a search bar and claiming the 1st answer is yours. I was told there was "no way ai will get too big and take jobs"
I lost my job about a month ago to ai. And it fucking hurt.
I was basically being told my skill was worthless, that i was replaceble and wasted my life/education.
It is bad for artists, writers, animators, directors, and anyone in the creative industry.
And it's only gonna get worse.
