I'm all for regulation of AI that uses copyrighted data without consent. With that being said: if you remove that data from the training pool AI will still will make a HUGE dent on artist's jobs. We have centuries of good public domain art and photos. There's also the problem with how easier it is getting to create your own LoRA based on someone's style or face. While those won't be used legally, individual users are much more likely to get those without much of a hassle. All in all: battle so it get's regulated in a way that is fair for artists, BUT, get used to integrating it in your own pipeline as well. This way at least you won't be loosing profit from cryptobros who think they are artist beause they learned how to prompt and use ControlNet.
